Perinatal Yoga

The word yoga comes from the Sanskrit word "yuj", which means "to unite". Practicing yoga throughout the prenatal and postpartum periods strengthens the connection between the mind and body by enhancing mindfulness, and strengthening your body. As a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher and perinatal yoga teacher in training, I will guide you through a gentle 60 minute sequence personalized for you and your current state. Flows are comprised of stretching to prepare the body, core work to strengthen the pelvic floor and abdominal wall, and heart opening asanas (postures). All you need for our classes is a mat. I will provide all necessary props such as blocks, blankets, and bolsters.

 

Your body undergoes tremendous physical and mental transformation during pregnancy. Through the practice of gentle asana and pranayama (breath work), we can reduce stress, improve sleep, and prepare your body for the birthing journey. Prenatal yoga lessons are tailored to your practice, pregnancy and concerns.

Postpartum yoga is an excellent way to recreate balance with your new body and mind after completing your journey of pregnancy and childbirth. Once you're cleared to exercise, we will work together as you strengthen muscles that will support you through postpartum and beyond (hey that's the name of the company!!). Babies are always welcome to join, I will be caring for your little one as I lead you through your practice.

Pricing:

60 minute class: $50 + $25 for each additional person

20 minute sound meditation: $25 + $10 for each additional person
